Canal++ is a Netherlands based film club hosting new, experimental, and critical works. Over the past three years, it has presented artist’s moving image works with various organisations including Eye Filmmuseum, LI-MA, and Sonic Acts Biennale. Canal++ consists of curators and scholars Jo Lene Ong, Rachael Rakes, and Julian Ross.

Ong is co-initiator of Counter Archive in Malaysia, was programme advisor for the 12th Seoul Mediacity Biennale (2023) and is preparing for a new role in Manchester.

Originally from the US, Rakes is a selection committee member of the New York Film Festival, was Artistic Director for the 12th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, and is the editor of several publications on contemporary art, politics, and film.

Ross, British-Japanese curator based in Amsterdam, is co-programmer of Doc Fortnight 2024 and the 69th Flaherty Seminar, and is an Assistant Professor at Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society.
